I believe that it’s important to treat the whole person in order to find true healing from life’s traumas. We often get “stuck” because of bad life experiences, which shape how we feel about others and the world in negative ways. I can help you see these experiences and emotions through new, empowering perspectives, so that you can move forward in your life with confidence and joy. My style is warm, humorous, nurturing, and direct, which helps my clients feel the safety and comfort they need to look within and make positive changes in their lives.
On a personal level, I believe in living authentically, which means being open and honest about who I am as a human. I strive to model this for my clients. Living authentically means that we work on having compassion and acceptance for ourselves, in all of our perfect imperfection. It means showing you that it is ok to accept yourself and everything about you!
I have lived a life of joy and challenges. I have experienced the grief of losing both of my parents to cancer and have been through a divorce. I also know the joys and challenges of being a parent. I can also share that I have found incredible happiness and freedom in my life, through a dedication to personal growth, healing, and mindfulness, and I can help you do the same. When we realize that we are not alone in our pain, we can allow ourselves to be vulnerable and find healing. We all have a unique beauty in our humanness, and I invite you to explore that in yourself. Through this acceptance, I offer a safe place for people to explore their feelings, their fears, and their dreams.
On a more personal note… there are many experiences that have contributed to my career as a therapist and guide in your healing. Travel, yoga, meditation, and snowboarding are a few of my passions. I have 25 years of experience in the mental health field, with a specialty in working with abuse, attachment, and trauma. I have also spent several years working with inspirational coaches such as Tony Robbins, where I have learned so much about confronting our limiting beliefs and living a fulfilling, purpose-filled life.
